As the price for original diamonds keep increasing, lately some merchants try to male some quick and dirty money by fooling customers with duds. You sure don’t want to lose your hard earned money in some worthless stone.

It may be easy to spot obvious duds from original shiny diamonds but when the duds are so real with good shine close to the original ones, it gets harder to spot being a regular diamond shopper.

Duds are sometimes priced less and the genuine merchants will honestly tell you it’s a dud. However not all merchants are honest and that’s where it gets tricky. Sometimes you can easily understand on your own if it’s a dud when the merchant tries to convince on your purchase with heavy bargains and discounts which the genuine diamonds can’t offer.
